Master’s Scholarships 2027 for Nigerians and Africans: Open Now (Updated November 2026)

Nigerian graduate in cap and gown, with the headline Master’s scholarships 2027, open now

These master’s scholarships are open now for the 2027 intake and accept Nigerian applicants. Most are fully funded, covering tuition and living costs; where a scholarship only pays part, we say so. Each links to our full guide, written from the university’s or funder’s own page, with who qualifies and how to apply. We update this page every month.

Want only the ones you qualify for? Answer five questions on the OpportunityLab Portal and we’ll match you by your field, level and age.

Eligibility: who can apply, and what to check first

  • Most want a first degree and an offer. Many scholarships ask you to apply for the master’s programme first, or at the same time; some, like Eiffel, need the university to nominate you.
  • Check the country list. Mastercard Foundation and Swedish Institute scholarships are for listed countries; Nigeria is on the lists above.
  • Fully funded or tuition only? The Hertie and Aberdeen awards cover tuition only. The guides say what is paid for.
  • Apply only through the official page. Every guide links to the official application page. OpportunityLab never charges for applications.
