Nigerian students about to start their first undergraduate degree at a federal or state university can apply for the Awareness Africa University Scholarship 2026/2027. It offers up to ₦500,000 towards school fees and compulsory registration charges. The scholarship is need-based and aimed at students who are committed to university but are struggling to afford the cost of starting.

Applications close on 31 October 2026, so you have only a few days left.

Please read before applying: The scholarship is advertised through the Awareness Africa Education Fund. We couldn’t find an official website or verified social media page for the organisers, only an online application form. Genuine scholarships never ask you to pay a fee to apply or to receive an award. Share only the information the form needs, and never share bank PINs, BVN passwords or one-time codes.

Tips for Your Application

  • Be honest and specific about your need. Explain who supports you, what your family earns and what the shortfall is.
  • Show your commitment. Mention your results, your course and your goals after graduation.
  • Attach your fee schedule so the organisers can see exactly what you need.
  • Apply early. Don’t wait until 31 October in case of network problems.
  • Stay safe. If anyone contacts you asking for money to “process” your award, it’s a scam. Don’t pay.
