Running a women’s health or femtech startup but struggling to look as professional as your product deserves? The WomanKind Creative Grant 2027 gives one startup a complete rebrand worth US$15,000, covering brand strategy, a new visual identity and pitch materials, at no cost. Startups from any country can apply, and applications close on 1 November 2026.
Grant at a Glance
- Organiser: WomanKind (Design for WomanKind), a US non-profit based in San Diego
- Sponsor: Design services donated by the branding studio Alfa Charlie
- Value: US$15,000 in brand strategy and design support (in kind, not cash)
- Format: A six-week remote design partnership starting in mid-January 2027
- For: Early-stage women’s health and femtech startups
- Deadline: 1 November 2026
Benefits
The winning startup gets a full brand makeover from a professional design team:
- Brand strategy workshop (6 hours): Work out your core values, target audience, competitors, positioning, strengths and brand personality.
- New visual identity: A logo, colour palette, font recommendations, supporting visual elements and a brand guide (the “Brand Compass Book”).
- Brand materials: In the final week, the team designs key assets such as a pitch deck or packaging.
- Follow-up support: Three quarterly check-in consultations after the project ends.
For an early-stage startup, this kind of work would normally cost thousands of dollars. A strong brand can make a real difference when you approach investors, partners and customers.
Eligibility
- Your startup works in women’s health or femtech. WomanKind defines women’s health inclusively, covering cisgender, transgender and non-binary women.
- You are at an early stage or up to Series A (startups at other stages can still apply).
- You are ready for a full rebrand, not just a logo refresh.
- Startups outside the US can apply, as long as your team can join calls between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday to Friday.
- Past applicants are welcome to apply again.
Selection Criteria
Applications are judged on:
- Originality: How new your solution is
- Impact: The difference it can make to women’s health
- Clarity of purpose: How well you explain what you do and why
- Problem understanding: How deeply you understand the problem you are solving

Tips for a Strong Application

- Be clear about the health problem. Describe who you serve, what their challenge is and why existing options fall short.
- Show impact with evidence. User numbers, pilot results or clinical partners strengthen your case.
- Plan for time zones. If you are in Africa, Europe or Asia, calls between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific Time fall in your evening or night. Make sure your team can attend.
