Presidential Digital Talent Programme Cohort XI 2026: Apply for ICT Graduate Training in Kenya

Applications are open for Cohort XI of the Presidential Digital Talent Programme (Digitalent) in Kenya.

Who Can Apply for Digitalent Cohort XI?

Applicants must meet the programme’s eligibility conditions.

They must:

  • Be Kenyan youth aged 21–29.
  • Be unemployed.
  • Have graduated within the last two years, from January 2024.
  • Hold First Class or Second Class Upper Division honours, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have a degree in ICT or a relevant engineering field.
  • Be ready to work full-time from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Be willing to work in any government ministry, department, agency, or county across Kenya.
  • Not have previously completed a Government of Kenya internship programme.

Furthermore, Graduates who are still awaiting graduation until December 2026 can also apply if they provide a university-signed and stamped recommendation letter confirming the expected grade.

Presidential Digital Talent Programme Tracks

The programme offers five main career tracks.

Networks and Digital Infrastructure

This track is suitable for graduates interested in computer networks, infrastructure, and related ICT systems.

Software Development and AI

Graduates interested in programming, software solutions, and artificial intelligence can apply for this area.

Information Security

This track focuses on ICT security and related technical skills.

Data Analytics

Applicants interested in working with data and developing analytical skills can choose this specialisation.

Multimedia and Digital Marketing

This area covers skills such as graphic design and digital marketing, making it suitable for graduates interested in creative technology and digital communication.

Required Application Documents

Applicants should prepare the required documents before starting the online application.

These include:

  • National ID card or passport
  • KCSE certificate
  • Degree certificate or university recommendation/reference letter
  • Passport-size photograph

Additionally, graduates with foreign university qualifications must provide the required KNQA verification certificate. If the documents are not in English, an official translation from the relevant embassy may also be required.

The application deadline is:

September 7, 2026.

Only applications submitted online within the stated application period will receive consideration.
