MTN Y’ello Mums Reintegration Programme 2026: Return to Work After a Career Break

MTN Y'ello Mums Reintegration Programme 2026 for mothers returning to work in Lagos, deadline 21 October 2026 Closes in 2 days

Taking time off work to have a baby or care for a sick child shouldn’t end a career, but getting back in can be hard. MTN Nigeria has opened applications for the Y’ello Mums Reintegration Programme 2026, a one-year programme that helps experienced mothers return to the workplace, rebuild their professional confidence and refresh their skills. Applications close on 21 October 2026, so act quickly.

Programme at a Glance

  • Organiser: MTN Nigeria
  • For: Career-oriented mothers returning to work after a career break
  • Duration: One year
  • Location: MTN Plaza, Lagos (as reported)
  • Experience needed: 5–10 years before your career break
  • Deadline: 21 October 2026

About the Programme

Many skilled women leave the workforce to have children or to care for a sick child, and then find that employers overlook them when they try to return. Y’ello Mums is MTN’s response. It gives mothers a structured way back into a corporate environment, where they can regain current work experience and reconnect with their profession. An earlier edition ran in 2024 as an internship. The 2026 programme is aimed at more experienced professionals.

Benefits

  • A year of hands-on experience at one of Africa’s largest telecom companies
  • Skills refresh: Update your professional knowledge after time away from work
  • Confidence rebuilding: A supportive environment designed for returning mothers
  • Professional network: Reconnect with industry colleagues and build new relationships
  • A stronger CV: Recent experience at a major corporate employer closes the gap left by your career break

Published details don’t confirm the pay or allowance. Check this on the official MTN page before you apply.

Eligibility

You may apply if you:

  • Are a mother returning to work after a career break for childbirth or caring for a sick child
  • Have 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience gained before your break
  • Hold a relevant professional certification, or can show verifiable continuing professional development (CPD) during or after your break, such as recent training, professional courses or industry learning programmes
  • Can work from Lagos for the year-long programme

What to Prepare

  • An updated CV that clearly shows your experience before the break and explains the career gap
  • Copies of your professional certificates
  • CPD evidence, such as certificates from online courses, workshops or training completed recently
  • A short explanation of the role or field you want to return to

Tips for a Strong Application

  • Own your career break. Explain it briefly and confidently. It’s the reason this programme exists.
  • Show you’ve kept learning. Even short online courses on platforms like Coursera, LinkedIn Learning or Google count as CPD and show you’re ready to return.
  • Highlight achievements, not just duties. Use your 5–10 years of experience to show results you delivered.
  • Don’t wait. With the deadline days away, submit as soon as your documents are ready.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official MTN Y’ello Mums page.
  2. Complete the online application and upload your CV and certificates or CPD evidence.
  3. Submit before 21 October 2026.
