MTN ICT and Business Skills Training Phase 8: Build a Stronger Business

MTN Foundation has opened applications for Phase 8 of its ICT and Business Skills Training Programme. The initiative supports young Nigerian women who own and manage small businesses.

Therefore, over five weeks, selected participants will learn practical digital and business skills. They will also receive data support and take part in online lessons, live classes, expert sessions, and a final business challenge.

Benefits of the MTN Business Training Programme

The programme offers several benefits for eligible business owners:

  • Five weeks of practical ICT and business training
  • Self-paced online learning
  • Instructor-led lessons
  • Masterclasses with experienced entrepreneurs
  • A capstone project challenge
  • Data support for learning activities
  • Digital skills that can improve business growth
  • A chance to win an equipment grant of up to ₦1,000,000

However, top 100 participants will share a ₦100 million equipment grant fund. However, the grant is competitive and does not go to every participant.

MTN ICT and Business Skills Training Eligibility

Phase 8 will select 3,000 female micro-business owners from six Nigerian states. To qualify, you must:

  • Be a Nigerian woman aged 18 to 35
  • Own and manage a micro-business
  • Have operated the business for no more than two years
  • Run the business in Rivers, Abia, Ogun, Kwara, Kano, or Gombe State

Therefore, applicants should confirm their age, business location, and business history before applying.

  • Abia
  • Ogun
  • Kwara
  • Kano
  • Gombe

MTN Foundation says earlier phases reached 15,362 young micro-business owners across 29 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The programme has also worked with organisations such as Google, Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Cisco, Meta, and Microsoft.

In addition, before you begin, prepare accurate information about your identity, business, location, and operations. Then review the form carefully before submitting it.
