She Code Africa FuturHer AI Program 2026, free AI training for women in Lagos, deadline October 18, 2026 Closes in 3 days

Are you a woman living in Lagos who wants to build real tech skills with artificial intelligence (AI)? She Code Africa is now accepting applications for its FuturHer AI Program 2026. You can learn software development, product design or data science, all with AI. The programme is listed as free. However, the deadline is reported to be October 18, 2026, so apply right away.

About the She Code Africa FuturHer AI Program

She Code Africa (SCA) is a Nigerian non-profit that helps African girls and women build careers in tech. To date, it has trained more than 7,000 women and girls and built a community of over 40,000 members.

FuturHer is SCA’s AI literacy programme. It was selected in the MIT Solve StepForward Essential Innovation Challenge, which is backed by the S&P Global Foundation. Through it, SCA plans a learning hub in Lagos where women from underserved communities can learn AI skills with hands-on practice, mentorship and career guidance.

The 2026 intake is an intermediate-level programme. In other words, it suits women who already have some basic digital skills and want to grow.

Learning Tracks

You can choose one of three tracks:

  • Software Development with AI: use AI to write, test and build software
  • Product Design with AI: use AI to design and improve digital products
  • Data Science with AI: use AI to analyse data and find insights

  • Final stage: Shortlisted applicants upload a 90-second video about their motivation and commitment to their chosen track.
