Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be an undergraduate student enrolled at a college or university and in good standing.
- You must remain an undergraduate for the whole programme (1 August – 30 November 2027). If you will graduate before 30 November 2027, you are not eligible.
- You must be able to meet in person at least eight times during the fellowship with your campus cohort.
Students from universities anywhere in the world can apply, including across Africa.
Tips for a Strong Application
- Apply early. Places are limited and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so earlier applicants have an advantage.
- Be clear about your project. Explain which SDG you are working on, the problem in your community and what you have already done.
- Show leadership. Mention clubs, volunteering or initiatives you have led or helped organise.
- Recruit classmates. Cohorts form on each campus, so encouraging other students at your university to apply helps your campus host a strong group.
How to Apply
- Go to the official Millennium Fellowship website and open the Class of 2027 application.
- Complete the Round 1 application.
- If you advance, you will be invited to Round 2, where references are requested and you may also apply for the Campus Director role.
- Submit Round 1 by the 31 October 2026 priority deadline for the best chance.
