Text graphic: 12 jobs still open at Google, Apple, Barclays and more, 11 in London and 1 in Los Angeles, pay up to £150,000, visa sponsorship varies Rolling deadline

Read this first: All 12 jobs below are on-site or hybrid roles in London, plus one in Los Angeles. None is remote-from-Africa. You can apply from Africa, but to be hired you’ll need the right to work in the UK (or US) or an employer willing to sponsor a work visa. We’ve noted each employer’s sponsorship position where they state it. If you want roles you can do from Africa, see the related opportunities at the end.

Global tech, finance and energy companies are hiring for experienced and mid-level roles this week. We checked each listing on the employer’s official careers site on 29 October 2026. Below are the 12 roles still open, with links straight to the official application pages. Most have no fixed closing date, and big employers often close adverts early once they have enough applicants, so apply soon.

Eligibility: What Africans Should Know

  • Right to work: Every role is based in the UK or the US. If you don’t already have the right to work there, you’ll need a sponsored work visa, such as the UK Skilled Worker visa.
  • Sponsorship varies by role: Large employers such as Google, Barclays, EY and Airbnb do hire internationally. However, sponsorship is decided role by role, and entry-level roles (like HSBC’s branch job) rarely qualify.
  • Experience: Most of these are mid-level to senior roles. Expect to need 2–8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Be honest about your visa status on the application form. Misstating it can cancel an offer.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay. Published ranges go from £28,800 (HSBC) to £150,000 (Airbnb).
  • Bonuses, equity or stock at several of the tech firms
  • Hybrid or flexible working at Spotify and bp
  • Experience at globally recognised employers, which strengthens any future application

How to Apply

  1. Open the official link for the role and read the full advert, including any right-to-work statement.
  2. Tailor a UK-style CV: two pages, no photo, with results-focused bullet points.
  3. Apply directly on the company’s careers site. Never pay anyone to “secure” a job, and only trust recruiters using official company email addresses.
  4. If you need sponsorship, say so on the form and, if you get the chance, ask the recruiter early.

Roles we removed

Opportunity Desk’s original list had 23 roles. We left out 11 because, when we checked on 29 October 2026, they were closed, the official page didn’t show the advert, or the advert excluded applicants without UK work rights:

  • Closed or removed: Amazon (EU Product Insurance Program Manager), Citi (Research Product Manager), AstraZeneca (Business Operations Lead), BT (Business Change Specialist), JPMorganChase (2027 Chase Digital Development summer internship), BlackRock (Private Credit Investment Risk Associate) and Unilever (UK industrial placement, closed 28 October)
  • No sponsorship, or existing UK work rights required: Sky (Senior Legal Counsel) and Accor/ibis (Night Receptionist)
  • Couldn’t be confirmed on the official site: Microsoft (Account Executive – Digital Natives) and Salesforce (Account Executive, Travel, Transport and Hospitality)
