BRIDGE-in Agriculture Pitch Competition 2026 flyer for Ghanaian agripreneurs, deadline 9 November 2026 Closes 9 Nov

Are you a young agripreneur in Ghana with a business that is already making money? The BRIDGE-in Agriculture Pitch Competition 2026 is offering US$10,000 in grants shared between three winners: $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000. Applications close on 9 November 2026 at 23:59 GMT.

The competition is part of BRIDGE-in Agriculture, an initiative funded by the Mastercard Foundation and delivered with CrossBoundary Advisory and ASH Africa. It aims to help young people grow agribusinesses that create jobs, with a special focus on women and persons with disabilities.

Quick Facts

  • Who: young entrepreneurs aged 18–35 in Ghana
  • Sector: agriculture and related businesses
  • Prizes: 1st – US$5,000 · 2nd – US$3,000 · 3rd – US$2,000
  • Funder: Mastercard Foundation (with CrossBoundary Advisory and ASH Africa)
  • Cost to apply: free
  • Deadline: 9 November 2026, 23:59 GMT

What the Grant Can Be Used For

  • working capital (inputs, stock, wages)
  • buying equipment
  • expanding operations

Use of funds is subject to the programme’s grant conditions.

Eligibility

  • aged 18 to 35
  • based in Ghana — the form covers all 16 regions, from Greater Accra and Ashanti to the Upper East, Savannah and Oti
  • running a business in the agricultural value chain or a related sector
  • the business already earns revenue (the form asks whether you made money in the last 3 months)
  • a clear, impact-focused plan for growth

Business sectors listed in the form: primary agriculture, agro-processing, agri-business (agrochemicals, farm machinery, marketing), wholesale and retail trade and logistics, agricultural technology, and other.

What the Application Form Asks

The form is on KoboToolbox and has 35 questions. Prepare these answers before you start:

  • personal details: name, contacts, date of birth, disability status, region, district and town
  • business details: business name, whether it is registered, how long it has operated, location, sector, whether you have employees and whether you work with smallholder farmers
  • your business model in up to 150 words, and your products or services and what makes them different in up to 50 words
  • whether you have a business plan, a pitch deck and audited financials
  • how you will use the grant and how it will help your business (150 words)
  • impact on youth and women in the next 6–12 months (150 words)
  • impact on smallholder farmers, workplace culture plans and sustainability/ESG plans (150 words each)
  • whether you have attended a BRIDGE-in Agriculture training or any Mastercard Foundation programme

Business registration, a business plan and audited accounts are asked about but not stated as required. Having them will strengthen your application.

How to Apply

  1. Write your answers in a document first — keep within the word limits.
  2. Open the official BRIDGE-in Agriculture Pitch Competition application form.
  3. Fill in all sections. You can click Save Draft and come back later.
  4. Click Submit before 9 November 2026, 23:59 GMT. Make sure you have internet so the form uploads.
  5. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. As this is a pitch competition, be ready to present your business if shortlisted.

Enquiries: 030 700 0111 or 054 828 8182.

Tip: if the form shows a “Loading Error”, try a different browser (Chrome on a phone usually works) or set your browser language to English (UK).

Tips to Stand Out

  • Use numbers: monthly sales, customers, farmers you buy from, people you employ.
  • Be specific about the grant: “$3,000 for a solar dryer to cut post-harvest loss by 30%” beats “to expand my business”.
  • Show impact on women and young people — the form asks about it directly and it is a programme priority.
  • If you work with smallholder farmers, say how many and how they benefit.
  • Prepare a short pitch deck now so you are ready if shortlisted.
