The ACEP Media Fellowship 2026 invites journalists, editors, and content producers to improve their reporting on public finance, governance, accountability, and anti-corruption in Ghana.
Also, the Africa Centre for Energy Policy will train selected participants to turn budgets, procurement records, audit reports, and public data into clear, evidence-based stories. The programme is now in its third cohort.

ACEP Media Fellowship 2026 eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be practising journalists, editors, or content producers.
- Work in print, broadcast, or online media.
- Currently cover, or want to cover, the economy, governance, or public finance.
- Commit to the full training programme.
- Complete the mandatory budget-related output.
- Be able to travel to the training venue in Accra, Ghana.
However, Applicants should show a genuine interest in using public information to promote fiscal accountability and reduce corruption.
ACEP Media Fellowship 2026 training
The training will take place in Accra, Ghana, from October 21 to 22, 2026.
During the programme, participants will learn how to:
- Find and read public finance information.
- Develop accountability stories using budgets and procurement data.
- Use audit findings to strengthen investigations.
- Report accurately on governance and anti-corruption issues.
- Present public-finance stories in a clear and engaging way.
