The programme is implemented through the Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards Enhancement (SPESSE) project, with support from the World Bank. It’s online and self-paced, and it’s open to registered companies, informal businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Stay safe: register only on the official nppcp.ng portal. Ignore anyone who asks you to pay them to “secure” a place or a government contract.
Tips for MSMEs
- Get your business documents ready. Government tenders usually ask for CAC registration, tax clearance and other compliance documents, so start gathering them while you learn.
- Use what you learn straight away. Look at real tenders on BPP’s Nigeria Open Contracting Portal (NOCOPO) and practise reading the requirements.
- Consider the professional tiers. If you or a staff member handle bids often, the Public Procurement Associate certificate could be a useful next step.
