Applications are now open for the 2026 Regional Community Organizing Institute (COI), a leadership and capacity-building program hosted by Yiaga Africa with support from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
Formerly known as the Youth Organizing School, the program brings together 30–35 mid-career professionals from across West Africa. Participants work in democracy, governance, civic engagement, human rights, economic reform, and community development.
The institute aims to strengthen community organizing skills and build stronger connections among civic actors in Anglophone and Francophone West Africa.

The Community Organizing Institute responds to the growing need for trained civic leaders who can drive positive change in their communities.
