Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the Ron Brown Scholarship. ​

  • Identify as Black or African American
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Be a current high school senior (college students are not eligible)
  • Demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential
  • Have significant financial need
  • Be actively involved in community service

Application materials include transcripts, two letters of recommendation, personal essays, and proof of U.S. citizenship or residency.
