Fully Funded Health Collaborative Scholarships 2025: Apply for MSc, MPhil & PhD Programs at KNUST

The HealthCollaborative Scholarships 2025 at KNUST are now open for applications. These fully funded opportunities support students pursuing MSc, MPhil, and PhD programs in Public Health, Epidemiology, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Health Entrepreneurship, and more. If you want to advance your career in health leadership, this is the right moment to apply.  The Health Collaborative, hosted at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and supported by the Mastercard Foundation, continues to strengthen Africa’s health sector by training future public health leaders. The 2025 scholarship call invites applicants from Ghana and partner universities across Africa.

Because Africa faces rising health challenges from epidemics to NCDs, the Health Collaborative aims to train professionals who can create long-term solutions. Therefore, the programs focus on advanced research, practical skills, and leadership development for health innovation.

About the Health Collaborative

Under the leadership of Professor Ellis Owusu-Dabo, the HealthCollaborative expands African health capacity by uniting universities, research institutions, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and technology innovators. To achieve this, the initiative focuses on four major pillars:

  • Building Primary Health Care capacity
  • Strengthening health entrepreneurship ecosystems
  • Creating advanced education pathways
  • Developing a Pan-African health innovation network

As a result, the program has already trained over 2,000 health workers, strengthened academic systems, and supported African-led research across the continent.

Fully Funded Programs Available (2025 Intake)

Students can apply for funding to pursue the following programs at the KNUST School of Public Health (SPH) or the KNUST School of Business (KSB):

Master’s Programs

  • MSc Health Entrepreneurship (HENT)
  • MPH/MSc Health Services Planning and Management (HSPM)
  • MPH/MSc Global Health and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)

MPhil Programs

  • MPhil Health Systems Research and Management (HSRM)
  • MPhil Field Epidemiology and Applied Biostatistics (FEAB)

PhD Programs

  • PhD Public Health (Epidemics or Pandemics Preparedness and Response)
  • PhD Public Health (Non-Communicable Diseases)

These programs equip students with the knowledge and skills required to improve health systems, strengthen disease surveillance, and drive innovation across the continent.

  • Candidates living in Ghana
  • Alumni of Africa Health Collaborative partner universities
