🎓 WTO Internship Programme

This general internship is open to postgraduate students from WTO member or observer countries, giving you hands-on experience in areas such as:

  • Trade Law
  • Economics & Statistics
  • Trade Policy
  • Human Resources & Finance
  • Language Services
  • Information Technology & Communication
  • Information Management

Duration: Up to 6 months
Stipend: CHF 60/day
Note: Travel costs and medical insurance are the intern’s responsibility.

✅ Eligibility:

  • Must be a national of a WTO member or observer country
  • Must have completed undergraduate studies and be enrolled in postgraduate studies
  • Age: 21–30 years

China WTO Internship Programmes

These internships, funded by the Chinese government, are designed to support young professionals from least-developed and developing countries.

Two Programmes Available:

  1. China WTO Accessions Internship Programme
  2. China General Internship Programme

Duration: Up to 10 months
Stipend: CHF 90/day + CHF 100/month for health insurance
Bonus: Travel expenses to and from Geneva are covered

✅ Eligibility:

  • Must be from a least-developed or developing country
  • Must have completed undergraduate studies and at least one year of postgraduate studies
  • Must be under 30 years old

Are you nearing the final stage of your PhD? This programme offers an exceptional research opportunity at the WTO for students from developing countries.

Duration: 3 to 6 months
Stipend: CHF 60/day + return air travel to Geneva

  • Must be from a developing or least-developed country
  • Must be working on a PhD in trade-related fields
  • At least 75% completion of your thesis
  • Fluent in English, French, or Spanish
