Through the Chevening LSE Fellowship 2025, participants gain access to LSE’s world-class academic resources, engage with renowned experts, and contribute to meaningful global discussions. Fellows may choose a research period of three, six, or nine months. During this time, they will work on a defined research project under the guidance of an LSE adviser, based within a department, institute, or center that aligns with their academic interests.
Research findings are expected to be presented in a final paper at the end of the fellowship. Fellows may also audit relevant lectures, attend seminars, and join discussion groups, enriching both their research and professional perspectives.

- International relations
- Public policy and administration
- Public diplomacy
- Social, economic, and environmental policy
- Development studies
A detailed and well-structured research proposal must be included with every application.

- Be citizens of China, currently residing there, and committed to returning after the fellowship
- Hold a postgraduate degree or equivalent professional experience
- Have at least five years of relevant work experience, or be a current PhD candidate (outside the UK/EU/USA)
