The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), in partnership with the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union | Global Dialogue, has officially launched the 2026 Call for Young Climate Leaders. This fully funded opportunity invites passionate young people from the Global South to participate in Ideas Lab 2026, one of Europe’s most influential public policy events. The program takes place on 2–3 March 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.

Ideas Lab is entering its second decade as a thought-leadership event that shapes conversation around Europe’s most urgent policy challenges. Each year, it brings together:

In 2025, Ideas Lab welcomed nearly 800 participants and over 200 speakers, including EU Commissioners, Members of the European Parliament, ambassadors, academics, and global industry leaders. Because of its openness, impact-driven dialogue, and interdisciplinary focus, Ideas Lab remains one of Brussels’ most respected policy forums.

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be 20–35 years old
- Hold nationality from one of the eligible Global South countries (listed in the application form)
- Have a good command of English
- Be passionate about climate action
- Be available to travel to Brussels between 1–4 March 2026
- Have not participated in Ideas Lab before
This call encourages diverse voices, especially from regions most affected by climate change.
Benefits for Selected Participants
Selected young climate leaders will receive full financial support, which includes:
- Travel costs
- Accommodation
- Meals
- Visa expenses
Although the program does not offer monetary remuneration, it fully covers the cost of participation.
