The Network of Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA) invites policymakers from West and East Africa to apply for the inaugural 2025 Policy Fellowship Program. This 6-week fellowship is designed to enhance evidence-informed policymaking and foster collaboration between policymakers and researchers.

Program Structure
📌 Week 1 – Online training with five modules:
🔹 Policymaking process
🔹 Accessing evidence
🔹 Appraising evidence
🔹 Synthesizing evidence
🔹 Applying evidence
📌 Weeks 2–6 – Virtual collaboration with a NIERA researcher to develop a research proposal (concept note) addressing a key evidence gap in your field.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
✅ Be a mid-level technical staff at a government ministry, agency, or department in an eligible country.
✅ OR be a lawmaker (member of parliament) or research staff.
✅ Have a strong interest in evidence-based policy development.
