Since 2010, the MTN Foundation has consistently shown its commitment to the development of Nigerian youth through education by offering the MTN Foundation Scholarships Program — an annual initiative that recognizes and supports high-performing students in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
The scholarships are awarded under three key categories:

- MTN Foundation Science and Technology Scholarship (MTNF STS)
- MTN Foundation Scholarship for Blind Students (MTNF SBS)
- MTN Foundation Top 10 UTME Scholarship
Let’s break down each of these opportunities and how you can apply for the 2025 MTN Foundation Scholarship.
📘 MTNF Science and Technology Scholarship (STS)
This scholarship has been active since 2010 and targets 300-level students enrolled in Science and Technology-related courses at Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).

- N300,000 per year until graduation (subject to meeting academic requirements).
- Opportunity to join a growing network of MTN Scholars.
📘 MTNF Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS)
This scholarship is designed to support blind students in 200 and 300 levels, pursuing any course of study in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions.
For Blind Law students, only those in 300 level are eligible due to the five-year structure of the course.
✅ Eligibility Criteria for MTN Scholarships 2025
🏫 A. Institution of Study
Open to students in:
- Nigerian Public Universities
- Nigerian Public Polytechnics
- Nigerian Public Colleges of Education
📚 B. Course of Study
- STS: Open to 300-level students in Science & Technology disciplines.
- SBS: Open to 200 & 300-level Blind students studying any course.
🎓 C. Level of Study
- STS: Applicants must be going to 300 level (after completing second semester 200-level exams) or currently in 300 level.
- SBS: Open to 200 & 300 level blind students. For blind Law students, only those in 300 level may apply.
📊 D. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
For STS Applicants:
- Universities/Colleges of Education: Minimum CGPA of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (Second Class Upper).
- Polytechnics: Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (Upper Credit) from OND, and must have secured admission into HND.
- Direct Entry Students: Must have CGPA of 3.0 (Upper Credit) from OND and secured admission into 300 level in a university.
For SBS Applicants:
- Universities/Colleges of Education: Minimum CGPA of 2.5.
- Polytechnics: Minimum CGPA of 2.0 from OND and must have secured admission into HND.
