The Pulitzer Center’s Africa Outreach Program is thrilled to announce the launch of the Africa Climate and Environment Micro Grants (ACE Micro Grants). This initiative invites local movements in Africa to propose innovative outreach activities that creatively integrate Pulitzer Center-supported stories into climate and environmental advocacy.
Grant Overview
Launched in 2022, the Pulitzer Center’s Africa Outreach Program engages young professionals and affected communities on pressing climate issues such as deforestation, ocean and marine resource management, water preservation, and climate change’s impact on labor. Through initiatives like “Knowledge and Action Talks”, the program has fostered meaningful discussions and engagement through forums, radio programs, online campaigns, and exhibitions.
Building on this foundation, the ACE Micro Grants seek to mobilize communities, amplify underreported stories, and drive action on climate and environmental challenges.
